Dr. James “Tripp” Leitner loves orthodontics because it is about building relationships while having fun and creating amazing, energetic smiles.
Leitner received his undergraduate degree from The Citadel and stayed in Charleston to attend dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina. He then continued training at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center where he completed his orthodontic residency.
Leitner is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, and South Carolina Association of Orthodontics, among many other organizations.
Outside of the office, Leitner enjoys working on his farm in Chester, hunting, playing golf, Gamecock football, cooking and fitness.
My daughter has to get braces and I’ve always heard great things about this practice and doctor. The office is very warm and welcoming, especially for kids. My daughter is already ready to get hers on. Everything was explained in detail and they are even connected online with her dentist. Friendly staff, clean offices, and effective treatment. When you walk in the door to check in, the staff already knows your name and your game plan.This was my second time using Tripp Leitner Orthodontists after I did not wear my retainers from having braces during childhood, and I was highly satisfied with the outcome.I would recommend to anybody seeking orthodontic work!
